Nepal Adventure Sports Tour: Rafting, Jungle Safari & Paragliding in One Trip

Arriving in Kathmandu by flight is a great start to your Nepal Adventure Sports Tour. You’ll see stunning Himalayan views on descent. Your flight lands at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA), at 1,350m altitude. You can get your Nepal visa in advance or on arrival — this can take up to 45 minutes.

Our representative will meet you at the exit with a placard and a Tibetan scarf. They’ll drive you to your hotel in Thamel, about 30 minutes away. Along the way, you’ll pass Pashupatinath Temple and Kathmandu’s busy streets.

At the hotel, you can rest and freshen up. Our team will brief you on your trip plan, and later host a welcome dinner. You’ll spend the night at the hotel.

Day 2 of your Nepal Adventure Sports Tour starts with a full day of Kathmandu sightseeing before the adrenaline begins. It’s a good pace-setter — culture and history first, adventure sports after.

You’ll visit four UNESCO World Heritage Sites: Kathmandu Durbar Square, home to the Kumari Ghar and Hanuman Dhoka; Swayambhunath, the hilltop “Monkey Temple” with panoramic valley views; Pashupatinath Temple, one of the world’s most sacred Hindu sites; and Bouddhanath Stupa, a hub for Tibetan Buddhism. By late afternoon, you’ll be back at the hotel, rested and ready for the rafting, safari, and Pokhara adventure sports still ahead.

After breakfast, you’ll drive from Kathmandu to Charaudi — about 85km, taking 2–3 hours. This is where your rafting adventure begins, a key highlight of your Nepal Adventure Sports Tour.

Your guide will brief you on the river and raft. Then you’ll navigate class 2–3 rapids, including one called “Ladies Delight,” before stopping for lunch. After lunch, you’ll tackle more rapids — “Upset” and “Surprise.” At Fishling, you’ll take a break for hot tea, coffee, and snacks before continuing downstream.

Once the rafting ends, you’ll head to your resort for an overnight stay.

After breakfast, you will travel to Chitwan National Park, Sauraha, Chitwan which was established in 1973 as Nepal’s first national park. The park boasts over 43 species of mammals, including several endangered species such as the one-horned rhinoceros, tiger, and gharial crocodile, as well as many other common wild animals.

Upon arriving at the resort in the national park, you’ll be welcomed by a hotel representative who will provide you with a complete itinerary of the activities you’ll be participating in during your stay in Chitwan. Receive a wake-up notification from the staff, eat breakfast, and prepare for almost four-hour jeep safari. After lunch, you will embark on a peaceful journey down the Rapti River in a traditional dug-out canoe to observe aquatic birds and animals along the riverbanks. You will also visit the elephant breeding center and gain more insight into the intriguing lives of these creatures. In the evening, enjoy watching the Tharu cultural program. Following breakfast, depart Chitwan for Pokhara, also known as The Lake City due to its abundance of lakes. The initial route traverses subtropical forests and lush vegetation in Chitwan. As you depart Chitwan, the landscape transforms, with the appearance of hills, small communities, and terraced farms.

Upon arriving in Pokhara, the picturesque lake city, you will be treated to stunning vistas of the Himalayas, including Dhaulagiri (8,167m), Manaslu (8,156m), Machhapuchhre (6,993m), the five Annapurna peaks, and more. Check-in at the hotel and take a break, or go for a stroll in the streets of Pokhara and appreciate being in one of Nepal’s most beautiful cities. Spend the night in Pokhara.

Pokhara Adventure Sports: A Full Day of Adrenaline

This is the heart of your Nepal Adventure Sports Tour — a single day packed with Pokhara’s best adventure activities. After breakfast, choose from paragliding, bungee jumping, an ultralight flight, and zip-lining.

Paragliding (30 minutes)
You’ll be driven to Sarangkot, Pokhara’s main paragliding launch point. A professional pilot handles the safety briefing and gear setup before you take off, sharing the skies with birds as you glide down toward Fewa Lake.

Bungee Jumping
A 75-meter vertical drop with 3 seconds of free fall, set against sweeping views of the Pokhara Valley — one of the most popular bungee jumping spots in Nepal.

Ultralight Flight (30 minutes)
This Pokhara ultralight flight takes you over Sarangkot, Phewa Lake, the Seti River, the Peace Stupa, and the Mahadev Statue, with panoramic views of the Annapurna range throughout. The aircraft is small — open-air, engine-powered, and seats only the pilot and one passenger — letting you fly remarkably close to the mountains. Ultralight flights are available only in Pokhara, thanks to its unique proximity to both the Himalayas and its lakes.

Zip Flyer (90 seconds)
Ride one of the world’s tallest and longest ziplines — 600 meters above the ground, reaching speeds of 140km/h across a 1.8km stretch — for a fast, exhilarating view of the Pokhara valley and Himalayan backdrop.

Pokhara City Tour: A Change of Pace After Yesterday’s Adrenaline

After a day full of paragliding, bungee jumping, and zip-lining, today shifts gears. You’ll still be up early — this time for the Sarangkot sunrise rather than a launch point — before spending the rest of the day exploring Pokhara’s landmarks at an easier pace.

Sarangkot Sunrise

Head to Sarangkot before dawn for sweeping views north across the Himalayan range as the sun comes up. Afterward, return to the hotel for breakfast before the day’s sightseeing begins.

Bindhabasini Temple

Set in the heart of Pokhara’s old bazaar, this temple is dedicated to Goddess Bhagwati, a manifestation of Shakti. The surrounding grounds make for a relaxed stop after yesterday’s activities.

Davis Falls

Known locally as Patale Chhango, this waterfall on Pokhara’s southern edge sees the outflow from Phewa Lake plunge through a series of potholes into a deep gorge.

Gupteshwor Cave

Located just 2km from Pokhara airport, directly across from Davis Falls, this nearly 3km-long cave includes large chamber-like rooms alongside narrow passages you’ll need to crawl through.

Phewa Lake and Barahi Temple

Nepal’s second-largest lake, sitting at 800m altitude, is home to the Barahi Island Temple — Pokhara’s most important religious monument, set on a small island at the lake’s center.

Seti River Gorge

Carved by the Seti Gandaki, this natural gorge is best viewed from the K.I. Singh Bridge at Bagar or the Prithvi Highway Bridge near the bus park, where the river’s turbulent flow is on full display.

Following breakfast, we will travel from Pokhara to Kathmandu, enjoying beautiful views of hills and rural Nepalese life along the river banks. You also have an option to fly from Pokhara to Kathmandu (30 minutes), with an extra charge.

Upon arrival in Kathmandu, you can rest or browse for souvenirs. To commemorate the successful completion of your journey, we will have a farewell dinner for you in the evening.

You will spend the night in Kathmandu.
