We start our trekking from Bhulbhule after 5/6 hours of scenic drive from Kathmandu to Beshishahar, followed by Jagat, Dharapani, Chame & Pisang in subsequent days. The trail goes side by side with Marshyangdi River. On sixth day, we stay at Manang to acclimatize as preparatory step for further. Trail continues heading to Yak Kharka for Thorang-La Pass. On ninth day we trek towards Muktinath crossing famous Thorang-La Pass (5416m), a sacred pilgrimage site for Hindu & Buddhists. We will explore Muktinath and other religious sites from different dimensions. A few hours’ drive takes us to Tatopani, a famous hot springs where you may have a dip in to it if you would like to do so since this place is believed to have cured many skin diseases. Next day we reach to Ghorepani from Tatopani, spend overnight. Subsequent morning, hike to famous viewpoint called “Poonhill” from where you will have a spectacular views of Dhaulagiri, Annapurna (I, II, III), Machhapuchchhre, Neelgiri & many others. The same day we trek to Birethati & drive to Pokhara spending overnight there. The other day we will wrap up our 14 days journey along with fabulous Pokhara valley sightseeing.
This is one of the world’s classic long distance trekking trails. This trek is famous for magnificent deep gorges, sky touching high mountain passes, mesmerizing viewpoints, Buddhist & Hindu temples, traditional farming villages & stunning views of Annapurna summits. The entire trek lies within Annapurna region including crossing famous Thorang-La pass (5416m) as well as walking by the edge of world’s deepest gorge, Tatopani hot springs and Muktinath Temple. Trekking goes through the altitude of 5416 meter encompassing different climatic zones, glaciers, traditional farming land, and sub-tropical forests. Three major peaks above 8000m: Mt. Annapurna I (8091m), Mt. Manasalu (8163m), Mt. Dhaulagiri (8167m) and many other peaks will be beside us during the trek. We might have a chance to see blue-sheep as well as snow leopard at Yak Kharka depending on our fortune.
