In the evening, you’ll return to your hotel to rest up — an early start awaits tomorrow for your helicopter flight to Kalapatthar and breakfast at the Everest View Hotel.

5:00–5:30 AM: Wake up, freshen up, and transfer to the domestic airport. Bring water, your passport, light snacks, dry food, and any prescribed medication in your hand luggage.

5:30–6:30 AM: Check in at the domestic airport helipad (1,340m). Expect a short queue — you’ll present your passport, and your body weight will be recorded, which matters for balancing the helicopter’s load on this Everest Heli Tour. Once boarding and security checks are complete, you’ll wait for the announcement and head to the helipad, where your captain will brief you on safety and flight details.

Once airborne again, the helicopter follows the Dudh Kosi River, fed by glaciers near Everest Base Camp — specifically the Khumbu Glacier. Along the way, you’ll pass villages dotted with lodges and teahouses used by trekkers on the classic trail through rhododendron and pine forest. Namche Bazaar, Khumjung, and Phortse appear on the left before you get a front-facing view of Everest, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam.

You’ll also spot Mt. Cho Oyu, the sixth-highest peak in the world, as you fly over the renowned Tengboche Monastery, before passing Pangboche en route to Pheriche — a settlement at 4,200m with a cluster of lodges and hotels.

Depending on group size, the pilot may land at Pheriche to split passengers into groups of two and three, keeping each group under the 250kg limit for onward flight. One group continues to Everest Base Camp while the other waits at Pheriche, taking photos and enjoying the views — the same helicopter shuttles back and forth until everyone has made the journey.
